Try to create a memorable address at a giant consumer domain and you will lose. The good names are gone. What remains is hard to remember and easy to misspell. A three-letter local part is impossible.
Not here. We want subscribers to have options for aliases and identities, so we limit how many people we put on each domain. Our domains today are mainmail.us, mainmail.ai, and mainmail.biz. We will add more.
Aliases that do not look disposable
Unlimited aliases on every plan. You can send with the From field set to an alias. That is the difference between a throwaway and an identity you actually use.
Bring your own domain if you prefer. Every plan can host a domain you own; custom-domain owners have access to the business plan. During Pacific business hours we can usually set a domain up within minutes of a complete registration, if the DNS records are ready.
Business mailboxes
The business subscription is aimed at companies of roughly 10 to 400 people. The administrator creates, deletes, locks, and unlocks mailboxes; turns on groups if they need them; and manages forwarding. A catch-all “all” address ships with the domain. You can disable it, or add exclusions.
If you do not use groups, the groups UI does not appear. If you need a feature we do not have, open a ticket. We will say whether we can build it. We would rather be a partner than a panel.
